yellowstone Fans feel a deep connection to the couple Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, who are central to the show’s success. As the series draws to a close, Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth, appeared on CBS Mornings on Friday and addressed speculation about their future together.
When asked about the possibility of a spinoff featuring Beth and Rip, Riley enthusiastically replied, “Yes, please.” However, she added that she remains focused on ending Beth’s story strongly in the main series.
Reilly plays Beth, the only daughter of the family patriarch, John Dutton. kevin costner Her fierce loyalty, deep love, and unpredictable nature have made her an iconic figure. In Season 5, Beth becomes embroiled in a bitter conflict with her brother Jamie. Jamie’s manipulative plans threaten to tear the family apart. Riley said Beth’s intensity comes from a painful past.
“She’s not just one thing. She’s like 10 women rolled into one,” Riley said. “There is an incredible depth of heart and love and dedication to her family.”
Despite Beth’s violent behavior, Riley says he feels deep sympathy for her.
“My heart just broke for her,” Riley said. “I think over the years, as the seasons go on, you’ll kind of peel back the layers and be able to understand why she does some of the things she does.”
Beth’s troubled past includes growing up on a rugged ranch with her siblings and a tragic accident when a horse falls and falls on top of her mother, killing her. Beth’s mother blamed her for the incident before she died, and that moment left a deep scar on Beth.
One of Beth’s few sources of happiness is her relationship with Rip Wheeler, played by Cole Hauser. Their love story resonates with fans so much that they even dress up as Beth and Rip for Halloween. Riley said the relationship is very protective.
“They’re both savages…but they protect each other so fiercely,” Riley said.
Riley, who is British, also talked about the process of learning Beth’s American accent with the help of a dialect coach.
“This is not the first time I’ve played with an American…and I’m married to an American and live in New York,” she said.
