Van Liss’ career began in Louisville, where he played his first three seasons in college. She was the first team All ACC honor in 2022 and 2023 consecutive seasons.
She moved to LSU’s Kim Mulkey program, where she teamed up with Lease in the 2023-24 season. Many were intrigued by how Van Lis fits into running the Tigers’ offense, but she averaged only 11.6 points and recorded her lowest career shooting percentage at 37.8%.
However, Van Liss pushed her hatred to the side this past season, solidifying her worth at a pro level, and Sora used their second pick in the first round to hook her.
