The NYPD has detained several people after a group of protesters entered Trump Tower in New York City.
It started just before noon on Thursday. Videos from inside the building show that the group began chanting “free mahmoud” after going to public areas within the building. Arrested over the weekend due to immigration and customs forced.
Members of the NYPD were seen on the scene, escorting some of the protesters with zip-tied handcuffs.

The protest organizer – The Jewish Voice for Peace said hundreds of people were involved in sit-ins in the building to protest Khalil’s detention, wearing shirts that said “not our name.” We also brought banners to the lobby. Organizers said actor Debra Winger was one of those protesting.
In the video, several protesters sitting in the lobby slam and chant “free Palestine.”

Chopper 2 video shows many protesters in red t-shirts gathering at the corner of 59th and 5th Avenues out of Trump Tower.
There were no official words from the NYPD yet for the arrest.
NYPD officials told The Associated Press that Mayor Eric Adams is aware of the situation.
