On Friday, No. 13 BYU held off Oklahoma State’s comeback bid and won in dramatic fashion, 38-35. Cougars quarterback Jake Retzlaff connected with Darius Lassiter for a 35-yard touchdown with 11 seconds left to seal the victory.
Oklahoma State quarterback Alan Bowman scored a 6-yard touchdown off Brennan Pressley with 1:13 left in the game, giving the Cowboys a 35-31 lead. Retzlaff then led BYU on an eight-play, 75-yard drive that ended the Cougars’ season unscathed.

Retzlaff had 218 passing yards and two touchdowns and ran for 81 yards on the ground. He took a 27-yard run on the final drive, setting BYU within Oklahoma State and leading to the winning touchdown two plays later.
Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon will have his best performance since he rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns in Week 1 against South Dakota State. Gordon entered the week with less than 80 yards in the first three conference games, but finished with 107 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns in the loss.
BYU (7-0, 4-0 Big 12) heads south next Saturday to take on UCF. Oklahoma State (3-4, 0-4) will travel to Waco, Texas, to face Baylor on the same day.
