Two 17-year-old boys have been charged as adults in the brutal stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in Snohomish County, Washington, earlier this month.
According to FOX 13, Milo Canales and Hayden Ruthebrink were charged with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping.
The victim was allegedly tied to a tree on December 16th after going to Lions Park in Everett, Washington with the girl. The two suspects grabbed a man who was trying to open the door for the girl, then drove away, FOX 13 reported, citing court documents.

According to police, the boy later told investigators that he thought he had been framed by the girl.
Canales and Rusebrink are accused of ordering the victim to undress, tying her to a tree and stabbing her at least eight times in the abdomen.
The news station said the stabbing left him “disemboweled.”

He was also pistol-whipped by the suspects and had the letter “N” carved into his chest, referring to the Norte or Norteno gangs active in the area.
Investigators said the suspects were motivated by gang ties and an altercation with the victim at school.
The victim told investigators that she recognized the assailants as high school classmates.

The victim managed to untie himself and ran to a nearby house for help.
He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
Canales and Rusebrink were arrested within 24 hours of the stabbing.
Canales’ bail was set at $1 million. Ruthebrink’s restitution was set at $300,000 and he was released on bond, FOX 13 reported.

Canales was found wearing the victim’s bloody clothes, the department said.
According to KOMO-TV, he was already facing a felony charge for robbery in Seattle last month, but was released on bail earlier this month.
