A family has decorated their home with hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights in memory of their late son.
Ross and Michelle Clark have spent the past 22 years turning their front garden into a winter wonderland after their baby boy Jack died prematurely at just six days old, news agency SWNS reported.
Every year, more and more lights are added to this festive house on Colonel’s Lane, Bourton-under-Blean, near Canterbury, Kent, England, and the Christmas displays become brighter and bolder.

SWNS reports that the Clark family always turns on the light display on Nov. 24, Jack Clark’s birthday.
Michelle Clarke gave birth to Jack prematurely at 36 weeks. He died six days later, on November 30th.

What started as the lighting of a single candle in his memory turned into a complete light display and winter wonderland.
“It’s like Jack’s light in the sky,” Ross Clark, a company director from Boughton-under-Blean, Kent, told SWNS.

“It basically started with things like window and door frames and grew from there. It just kept getting bigger and bigger.”
The whole family gathers together to set up the display and prepare for the big day for months.

As early as September, the Clarks, along with their two children, Ellie and Lewis Clark, began checking the lighting, fixing any decorations that needed repair, and planning the layout of Wonderland.
“It’s a lot of work, but seeing the joy on people’s faces, especially young children, makes it all worth it,” Ross Clark told SWNS.
Parents paid their respects by leaving rocks at more than 55 locations, expressing the wish of their deceased daughter that she “wanted to see the beach.”
The news agency estimates the family has spent nearly $40,000 on lights and decorations over the years.
Clark’s home will be decorated with a giant light-up reindeer, a snow blower, and a moving Santa.
One of the displays on the home’s front lawn is a memory tree, a place where visitors can write notes for loved ones who have passed away.

As expected, electricity bills tend to be much higher than other months, but the family believes it’s to honor their son.
“It’s more than just lighting. It’s about remembering Jack,” Ross Clark told SWNS.
