Game time remains the same, with kickoff at 8pm ET.
The Rams had a scheduled off day on Wednesday, but the Los Angeles Chargers, who share SoFi Stadium and head to Houston for a wild-card game on Saturday, had players shut down during practice due to poor air quality. limited the amount of time they spent outdoors.
State Farm Stadium has served a similar role in the past. In 2003, the Dolphins and Chargers played in Glendale due to the San Diego wildfires. During the 2020 COVID-19 season, the 49ers played three “home” games there.

Several active wildfires, including the Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire, have caused significant damage to communities in the Los Angeles area, including Pacific Palisades and Altadena. The Santa Ana wind-damaged fire has burned nearly 30,000 acres and at least 130,000 people in the area are under evacuation orders. The fire killed at least five people and destroyed more than 1,000 buildings.
This week’s wildfires have brought new attention to a problem that is causing insurance companies to stop writing new insurance or refusing to renew old policies in areas of California where wildfire risk is high. Prominent entertainment figures also advocated this move.
