Venezuelan officials said on social media on Saturday that after reaching an agreement with the US again, Venezuela will once again accept repatriation flights carrying deported citizens.

“We agreed with the US government to resume repatriation of Venezuelan immigrants on our first flight on Sunday,” said Jorge Rodriguez, Venezuelan Congress president and Maduro’s leading negotiator with the US.
Venezuela “accepted the contract to ensure that the return of our fellow people to our nations was returned to human rights,” Rodriguez said.

US officials confirmed that the first flight had arrived in Venezuela on Sunday night, and said 199 people were transported, including members of the Tren de Aragua gang. Authorities did not specify the number of allegedly allegedly members of Tren de Aragua or how their affiliation was determined.
Maduro ratified the measure at a public event later that day. “We are reopening flights to rescue and release immigrants from US prisons,” Maduro said.
The Venezuelan leader also said he served as president of El Salvador’s Naive Buquere, who is in charge of the well-being of Venezuelans who have been deported to the country.
“You guarantee their health, and because they are being tempted, you guarantee their health, and sooner than later, you have to hand them over and release them,” Maduro said.

Trump claimed that Denner was a member of the Tren de Aragua gang. The Trump administration has not provided evidence that Denner is a member of Tren de Aragua or that they committed a crime in the United States.
