An investigation is underway as the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that an unruly passenger allegedly attacked another passenger on a Delta Line flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles.
The FAA told FOX News Digital that it safely landed at Los Angeles International Airport around 11:45am Monday after crews reported passenger failures.
The agency said the Airbus A350 had been travelling from Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport when the incident occurred on board.
The FAA says it will conduct an investigation into suspected assault.
Passengers attacked the crew and American Airlines flights were turned around, allegedly swallowing the Rosary Beads.

An airline spokesman shared a statement with Fox News Digital to confirm that they are working with law enforcement and have “zero tolerance” for this type of action.
“Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behaviour and has worked with law enforcement on the investigation,” a Delta spokesperson shared in a statement.

Neither the airline nor the FAA shared what happened or whether passengers would face criminal or civil penalty.
The Los Angeles Fire Department shared with KABC-TV and KABC-TV, which said that an adult man was said to have to be detained after biting one passenger and attacking another.

Officials added that the ambulance took unruly passengers to hospital for a psychological assessment and later returned to see injured passengers, the outlet reported.
The FAA said the airline reported more than 1,800 unruly passenger incidents in 2024.
One of these incidents included an “uncontrollable” passenger on a flight from Cincinnati to Las Vegas on December 23rd. These had to be de-arounded to Kansas City, where passengers were removed.

So far, more than 300 of these types of incidents have been recorded in 2025, according to the FAA website.
“The FAA can pursue enforcement action against passengers attacking, threatening, intimidating or interfering with airline crews and propose civil penalties of up to $37,000 for each violation,” the agency said.
