NASA “Athena” Lander is set to land on the surface of the moon
Senior Fox News correspondent Jonathan Cerry joins “Faulkner Focus” to discuss NASA’s Moonlander descending towards the moon and isolated astronauts who have denied claims that politics played a role in his search delays.
Lunar Lander had a touchdown early Thursday the month, but the ground controller was unable to check Athena Lander’s condition at landing, the Associated Press reported. In addition to that condition, the location of the ship landed is also unknown.
Owned by an intuitive machine, Lander carried ice drills, a drone and two rovers. ATHENA cited officials and reported that it was clearly able to communicate with the controller.
Mission Director and Co-Founder Tim Crane has been heard telling his team to “continue to tackle the issue” despite sending obvious “approvals” to the Texas team.

The first commercial moonlander “Odysseus” lands on the moon
NASA and the intuitive machine announced they would be closing their online livestream and holding a press conference on Athena’s status later on Thursday.

Private Lunar Lander Blue Ghost Lands on the Moon with Equipment for NASA
Last year, on an intuitive machine, the Odysseus Lander reached the moon, but simply landing sideways put extra pressure on landing today.

Athena is the second craft to land this week after the Blue Ghost touchdown on Sunday.
“You guys were landing. We’re on the moon,” said Will Coogan, Lander’s chief engineer, Freefly. Blue Ghost’s Landing has made Firefly Aerospace the first private company.
