United Airlines has no feud with Taylor Swift. Quite the opposite: the pop star is driving demand for United Airlines flights.
United Airlines executives said Wednesday at the Skift Global Forum in New York that demand for flights increased 25% during the weekends when Swift performs overseas. United Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Nocera added that Swift is having a similar impact on domestic travel.
Tickets for Swift’s US concert now on sale through United Airlines “A Departmental Tour of Struggling Poets” United Airlines said flights are booking up quickly: Flights to Indianapolis, Miami and New Orleans close to the concert are already 70% booked. United said flights to those cities this far out are typically only about 50% booked.

While United Airlines hasn’t added any flights specifically for Swift’s concert, at least one other airline has.
Low-cost airlines Southwest Airlines has announced it will be adding more flights this summer. This is to accommodate strong demand for travel to Swift’s shows in Miami and New Orleans in October.
“Following strong demand from last year’s U.S. tour, the airline will be adding more than 10 flights to its schedule to support passengers to and from Swift’s concert venues,” the airline said in a statement to CBS News.
