President Donald Trump said in a social media post Sunday’s post that conservative talk show host Dan Bongino will become the FBI’s deputy director.
Bongino will join Kash Patel, who has recently been confirmed as FBI director by the senator. Trump said Bongino has been nominated for the role of Patel. This position does not require confirmation from the Senate.
“Great news for law enforcement and American justice!” Trump posted on his social media network, True Social, saying Bongino “a man of incredible love and passion for our country.” I’m calling.
Bongino was previously a New York City Police Offer and was a member of the US Secret Service. He was recently known as a conservative radio host and podcaster.
In his post, Trump said he was “ready to give up” his program as Bongino stepped into his new role. According to Spotify, “The Dan Bongino Show” was recently the number 56th podcast in the US.
