President Donald Trump told cabinet members last week that billionaire Elon Musk will leave his administration role in the coming months, NBC News reported Wednesday.
A senior government official told NBC that Musk is engaged in a controversial effort by the Doge team to cut federal spending — which will leave at the end of a 130-day mission as a special government employee.
That particular designation, SGE, reduces annual work days in 130 days. The SGE caps for the masks, which began on January 20th, will arrive at the end of May.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was called the report “Garbage.”
“Elon Musk and President Trump both publicly stated that Elon would leave public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at Doge was completed,” Leavitt tweeted.
“I think he’s amazing, but I think he has a big company to run… And at some point, he’ll be back,” Trump told reporters on Monday.
“I’m protecting him as much as I can keep him,” the president said.
However, in an interview with Fox Business on March 10th, Musk was asked by host Larry Kudlow, “Are you planning on going for another year?”
Musk replied, “Yeah, I think so.”
Musk was the biggest financial aid for Trump’s 2024 campaign.
On Tuesday night, Musk Bankroll and Trump-backed conservative candidate Brad Simel lost his efforts to win the election to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
