According to the UK’s National Statistics Bureau, there were 38 million visits to the UK in 2023, an increase of 6.7 million visits compared to 2022.
The government website says the ETA “allows people to travel to the UK.”

“Everyone who wants to travel to the UK except for UK and Ireland citizens requires permission to travel before they come here,” the UK government website says.

Travelers can apply for an ETA via the online form by providing information such as travel details, email address, credit or debit card, valid passport information, and appropriate questions.
