Identities of six victims Fatal helicopter crash on the Hudson River The aircraft will be removed from the water between New York and New Jersey, it has been revealed.

German industrial conglomerate Siemens previously identified Escobar Canada as an executive at the company and said he had passed away along with his wife and three young children.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the family had visited the city to celebrate one of their children’s birthdays on Friday.
“So this is probably part of the usual tourist attraction where you can see the city from the skyline,” the mayor said in an interview with Fox 5 New York. “But it’s a truly unfortunate situation. And our hearts go to the family.”
Jersey City Mayor Stephen Flop said Escobar Canadas was in the business area and his family flew to extend the trip.
“Arriving on Sunday and touring the Siemens entities in Pittsburgh was something they told us, and then they extended the trip with the family members who arrive for their birthdays of the trip,” Flop said.
He said his mother was also celebrating her 40th birthday.
“They were here for mom’s birthday trip. Her birthday is actually in June, but it was the trip they were doing now. It was one of the kids’ birthdays (Fridays),” Flop said.
According to LinkedIn, Escobar Canadas has worked for Siemens for over 27 years, most recently as global CEO of Railway Infrastructure. His wife worked in another department in the same company as the Global Manager.
Siemens issued a statement overnight, saying, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic crash of the helicopter that lost Agustin Escobar and his family. Our sincere condolences come to their loved ones.”
On social media, the family said in Spanish, “I would like to express my deep gratitude to the sadistic dol and for the support I received in recent hours.
In their statement, relatives of the family share that they have begun the process of repatriating the bodies to Spain, and plan to release details about the funeral arrangements in the coming days.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez also responded to news of the crash on social media, writing in Spanish that he “shares the sadness of his victims’ loved ones during this tragic time.”
The Spanish consulate general in New York and the hotel where both the family members were staying declined to comment.
Pilot Sean Johnson died in crash crash of a Hudson River helicopter
Their pilot was identified as 36-year-old Seankese Carrell Johnson, who was also killed. He was a Navy veteran who served from 2006 to 2018.
In a statement, a Navy spokesman said, “We express our deep sadness to those affected by this tragedy, including the loved ones of our former sailors.”

Earl Watters was Johnson’s boss and mentor, but also a dear friend.
“He was an incredible friend in the first place. He had really good pilot skills for his points in his career.
Johnson’s grieving father also posted a simple message on Facebook saying, “I love your son.”
What we know about the Hudson River helicopter crash

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Traffic Safety Commission are investigating what went wrong.
“On behalf of the entire NTSB, we want to express our deepest sadness to those who have lost their loved ones in this tragic event,” said NTSB Chairman Jennifer Homendy.
The flight departs from a Wall Street heliport at 3pm, with radar data showing it flew north along the Manhattan skyline before returning south towards the Statue of Liberty.
Officials in New York City say the helicopter will plunge into the water near the New Jersey side of the river after it stopped control minutes after takeoff.
“The helicopter arrived at the George Washington Bridge and revolved to fly south along the New Jersey coastline. Shortly afterwards, the aircraft lost control and hit the water just a few feet away from the coast of Pier A Park in Hoboken.” NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tish said.
The cell phone video filmed a reverse tourist helicopter falling into the river. Witnesses said the aircraft’s rotor blades were already detached by the time it hit the water.
“We use thousands of tourist flights. There are many flights here and the helicopters are safe,” Mayor Eric Adams said.
US Transport Secretary Sean Duffy posted on social media that the helicopters were not supported by air traffic at the time because they were in the special flight regulations area, but received support from Lagardia Airport prior to the crash.
The Bell 206 helicopter is owned by Louisiana-based Meridian helicopters and sells, leases and renovates helicopters. Operated by a New York helicopter, it has been open for 28 years.
“I don’t know anything how this fell. The only thing I can tell you is we are devastated, my wife hasn’t stopped crying since today. We are a small company,” said Michael Ross, CEO of New York helicopters. “I’m my father and grandfather, and we’re just in ruins.”
NTSB Records show that it is manufactured by an aircraft owned by another New York helicopter Emergency landing at Hudson in 2013. The pilot managed to land safely, and the passenger, a Swedish family, was not injured.
The agency discovered that maintenance issues and engine lubrication abnormalities led to power outages in the incident.
