Target has lowered the prices of its Thanksgiving meals, saying shoppers can get four meals for $20, or $5 less than last year, the discount retailer announced Monday.
Minneapolis-based Target said its holiday products include frozen turkey, potatoes, canned green beans, cream of mushroom soup, boxed stuffing mixes and bottled gravy.
“From our Thanksgiving dinner menu prices down to just $20, to our variety of hosting and gifting options, to our Target Circle 360 special services, we’re offering the exceptional quality and value that sets Target apart.” said Rick Gomez. Target’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer said in a news release.
With this announcement, Target joins other retailers including Aldi, Walmart, and fast food chains. appeal to Americans are price sensitive.

A study by the American Farm Federation last year found that the average cost of a traditional holiday feast for 10 people was $61.17, or less than $6.20 per person, down 4.5% from 2022, when meal costs hit an all-time high.
