SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Saturday carrying NASA astronauts and Russian astronauts in a Crew Dragon capsule that normally carries four. That’s because Crew Dragon’s two empty seats will be used to return two Boeing Starliner astronauts to Earth next February. Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams took part in the first manned test flight of Boeing’s Starliner, which arrived at the International Space Station in June, but a problem with the propulsion system forced NASA to move the airship to another spaceship.
