A plane filled with passengers en route to Washington, D.C., celebrated President Donald Trump’s inauguration by playing “YMCA,” a song associated with the commander-in-chief’s campaign.
Sarah Rogers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, shared a video of her “unique” flying experience on Southwest Airlines on TikTok, which has since garnered more than 2 million views.
Rogers told Fox News Digital that her husband surprised her with tickets to President Trump’s inauguration for Christmas.

“I’m not usually a very political person, but I’ve been pretty involved with the Trump campaign over the past year or so…and[my husband]knew I was very passionate about this.” Mr. Rogers said.
“When I found out Trump won and he was going to be president, he decided to book this trip for me…We spent money on it and for me it was worth it. It was a Christmas present. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. ”
Rogers flew from Oklahoma to Houston, had a layover there, and departed for the nation’s capital on Sunday.
She said she and other passengers were waiting quietly at the gate when someone on the plane stood up and started waving a Trump sign. At that moment, cheers erupted from the other travelers.

Rogers said she felt most passengers realized they were “a little bit on the same page.”

“Once we all arrived on board and everything was completed, there was a feeling that everyone was excited to be going to Washington, D.C. for the inauguration,” she added.
“Before we took off,[the flight attendant]was like, ‘Hey, I just wanted to ask, is anyone on this flight going to the inauguration?'” And then everyone started cheering. ”
As the plane landed on the tarmac in Washington, D.C., Village People’s “YMCA” began to play over the intercom and the cabin lights switched to red and blue.

In a video recorded by Rogers, passengers can be seen performing the iconic choreography associated with the 1978 disco number.

Rogers said not everyone on the plane was going to the inauguration, and some passengers didn’t participate in the celebration, but he still wanted to be respectful and let everyone “enjoy their moment.” spoke.
“I never expected to get on a plane and then have (the flight attendants) playing (‘YMCA’), but it was such a fun atmosphere,” she added.
“I think everyone’s really hopeful… in anticipation of what the next four years will bring, and in that moment, even though that song didn’t necessarily have a political meaning, everyone… It really brought us together. It was like a Trump song, we all came together and felt so united.”

“They did this for me on the plane arriving in Washington DC yesterday! It was the most fun I’ve ever had!!!,” another wrote.

When Rogers arrived in Washington, D.C., she woke up at 3 a.m. on Inauguration Day and stood in line for five hours in the freezing cold before entering Capital One Arena to watch the ceremony.
