The Stargazers looked up at the sky last night and early this morning. March 2025 “Blood Moon” A total lunar eclipse that color the moon in shades of red, orange and yellow.
According to Farmer’s Almanac, the full moon in March is known as the “worm moon.” This document the history of the Full Moon name. The moon is called to take on these reddish tints during the total lunar eclipse.”Blood Moon. “The combined nickname isBlood Worm Moon. ”
According to NASA, the month is expected to rise early Friday and be visible until Saturday morning. Photos captured during the event on Friday show the moon’s body in large colours in the sky as it passes through the shadows of the Earth.

During a complete lunar eclipse, the Earth passes directly between the moon and the sun. Alignment blocks most sunlight from reaching the moon for a short period of time, but during this time the moon is visible.

In some early Friday morning images, the moon appears red.
According to NASA, some light is still reaching the moon when the Earth’s shadow is in full, but their wavelengths are red, orange and yellow. They look back at the surface of the moon and create a colorful phenomenon.

When will the next total lunar eclipse occur?
According to TimeanDate.com, the next lunar eclipse will take place on September 7th and 8th. However, the whole eclipse is not visible in America. Another total lunar eclipse will occur in early March 2026 and is expected to be seen in the US.
