There are five weeks left in the NFL regular season. That means you have five weeks to turn things around with your choices. Over the past 7 weeks, I’ve rotted like a boiled egg that’s been left in the fridge for 4 months.
It stinks. So am I.
My choices don’t lead to anything. This season is the worst one ever for me, so do whatever you want with these picks.
In Week 13, they were 7-9 against the spread and 12-3 straight up. As a result, my ATS season record is 87-105-3, and my straight-up record is 120-75-0. The latter is solid, but the ATS mark is rotten.
To reach .500, you have to eat up a number of impressive weeks.
Could it happen? yes. Will that happen? Probably not, but I switched up a few things this week. Let’s hope it goes well.

This is a very important game for the NFC playoffs and the division. The Lions have a number of key players on defense, which could help the Packers. However, the Lions have an overwhelming offense that will score here against the Packers line. I think Jordan Love will keep the Packers. It’s close.
Pick: Lions 35, Packers 33
BONUS: SportsLine expert RJ White, who has a 73-31-2 record in Packers games, has strong feelings about one team in this NFC North matchup. To see who he’s picking against the spread, visit SportsLine.

These two have been huge, but the Dolphins have looked much better over the past month. The Jets have done little offensively, but Miami can attack well. Look forward to Tua Tagovailoa’s performance as the Dolphins take on the Jets.
Designated players: Dolphins 31, Jets 19

The Falcons have lacked energy offensively the last few games. That has to change, but it’s going to be difficult with Kirk Cousins coming back to play against his former team. The Vikings are good defensively, but something tells me Cousins will bounce back from last week’s debacle and play well enough to keep Atlanta in the game.
Pick: Vikings 24, Falcons 23

These two basically play strings. The Giants are in complete disarray. The Saints still have a capable quarterback in Derek Carr, but they’ve also lost a number of players. The Saints are alive in a way, but when two bad teams play, I always pick the home team, no matter who is quarterbacking the Giants.
Pick: Giants 21, Saints 20

Bryce Young has been much better the past two games, but this is a big challenge for the Eagles defense on the road. He has to hope the Eagles are flat after last week’s blowout win over the Ravens. That won’t happen. They keep rolling and life is going to be tough for Young.
Pick: Eagles 32, Panthers 16

Jameis Winston is playing good football, other than throwing pick-sixes. The Browns have been revitalized with him at quarterback. They beat the Steelers in the snow two weeks ago, but this time it will be an even tougher battle. Russell Wilson is playing better. The Steelers won, but by a close margin.
Designated players: Steelers 23, Browns 21

This will be a long trip for the Raiders, who are on the road for the second straight week. Aidan O’Connell did some good things against the Chiefs and I think he can protect the Raiders again this time. In the end, Baker Mayfield is going to end up making some plays late to get the win.
Pick: Bucks 27, Raiders 24
Sunday, 1pm ET (CBS, Paramount+)
Mac Jones is almost certain to start here, replacing Trevor Lawrence, who left last week’s game with a concussion. Jones played better off the bench last week than he did as a starter, but now he’s back in the starting lineup. Will Levis has played well over the past month and I think he can be successful against the Jaguars’ secondary. Titans win.
Pick: Titans 27, Jaguars 21
Sunday, 4:05pm ET (CBS, Paramount+)
Seattle defeated the Cardinals two weeks ago to secure first place in the NFC West. But this game could get the Cardinals back in the race. Even in their loss to the Seahawks two weeks ago, they played good defense. They are finding ways to limit Seattle’s offense, so I think that will carry over here as well. The Cardinals win.
Pick: Cardinals 23, Seahawks 16

This will be a long road trip for the Bills after locking up the division last week. But they’re playing for more than that. The Rams are still in division contention, so this is a big deal for them as well. With the way Josh Allen plays, the Rams will have a hard time slowing down this offense. Look for the Bills to keep going.
Pick: Bills 29, Rams 23

The 49ers are in great shape and will be without Christian McCaffrey. How do they get through all the injuries? Or can it? Their season is at stake here and that’s why they win this game. They will play sound games with the Bears and interim coach Thomas Brown. The 49ers will survive.
Designated players: 49ers 23, Bears 17

This is one of the best games of the week. The Chargers are playing a series of road games against rested teams. Favors the Chiefs. The Chiefs have won a lot of close games, and I think they will win here too if Patrick Mahomes gets the most out of the Chargers’ defense.
Picks: Chiefs 27, Chargers 21
Bonus: RJ White, who is betting on the Chargers game with a 35-0, 18-2 roll against the spread, agrees with me that this game should beat the betting total of 43. But who thinks White can cover the spread this “Sunday”? “Night Football” showdown? See who he’s rooting for on SportsLine.

Joe Burrow is playing great football, but his defense is terrible. The Cowboys are still alive to make the playoffs — just barely. Dallas’ defense has improved with the return of key players to health, but challenges remain. I think the Cowboys hung out and pulled off the upset. The Cowboys win.
Picks: Cowboys 27, Bengals 26
