The coveted Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skeens’ autographed MLB debut patch card is no longer on the market.
An 11-year-old collector from Southern California decided to pull this card, which was included in the 2024 Topps Chrome Update set.
Skeens’ 2024 National League Rookie of the Year card drew a lot of attention when the trading card and collectibles maker unveiled it in November.
As soon as the card became known, the Pirates became vocal about acquiring it.

Skeens autographed cards have some value, but the MLB Debut Patch Edition is highly sought after because it is a one-of-a-kind collectible item.
Pirates offered a ton of perks in exchange for the card. The team provided two premium Pirates season tickets (valid for three years), a meet-and-greet with Skeens, an autographed jersey, and more.
Despite recent developments, Pirates confirmed that the team is still willing to honor the offer.

“11 Year Old Collector Draws Paul Skeens 1/1 Debut Patch Card! Our Offer Is Still Valid…Do You Know Where to Find Us?” Pirates X Posted on Tuesday.
LSU gymnast Libby Dunn, who is dating Skeens, added an extra incentive for anyone who finds the card.
“Let’s up the stakes… whoever finds this card can join me in my suite to watch the Pirates game,” Dunn wrote in an Instagram Story post.

Skeens, 22, had a memorable season in 2024 with an 11-3 record, 1.96 ERA, and 170 strikeouts.
Before winning National League Rookie of the Year, Skens was named to the MLB All-Star team. Skeens was the No. 1 pick in the 2023 MLB Draft and made his major league debut in May.

Starting in 2023, rookies will wear an MLB debut patch on their jerseys. Topps took the patch and created a unique card.
