“National Treasure” honoring the U.S. Coast Guard, valuable artifacts such as World War II ships will be on display
“We don’t always know what our schedules will be like for the year, so when military members are home, we make the most of every moment. Vacations provide us with an escape from the pressures of service and really connect and bond. “As a family,” Basham said.
Basham said since 2020, there has been an increase in military families traveling.
“Many military personnel had very strict travel restrictions in place, so once those were lifted, they were eager to get out with their families and see the world.”
“We have definitely seen an increase in military families reaching out to book special vacations,” she added.
Bashman said military families have many travel benefits and should “take advantage of that and book some well-deserved vacation.”
