The first 32 players selected in the 2022 NFL Draft have all become first round selections called names under the bright lights of Las Vegas. But there are three seasons behind them, and they now enter a significant year in their younger career.
NFL rookies receive a four-year contract when they join the league. The first round pick includes team options for the fifth season. Teams can choose to pick up or decline. Some players make decisions easier for the team. Others aren’t that much.
A window to expand the player’s fifth year option to January 6th opened on May 1st. The final deadline is here, let’s take a look at each player in the 2022 draft class and whether his team is still taking up options.
