A New Jersey Democratic lawmaker has introduced a bill that would create a travel advisory that would notify women of restrictive abortion laws in other states they may visit.
According to NJ Spotlight News, the bill, sponsored by state Sen. John Bruzicelli, would require the New Jersey Department of Health and state officials to list each state’s color code based on how restrictive its abortion laws are. It is said that it is mandatory to set up a website.
“If you are an individual, a woman, traveling to this country for work, or (for example) considering attending school in Mississippi, you need to know what types of health care services are available to you. “It helps us know if we need any kind of emergency treatment,” Bursichelli told the show.
