According to a notification posted Thursday by federal regulators, retailers including Amazon, Costco and Target have sold nationwide, with 12 fingertip injuries, including amputation. It is recalled after the report.
Announced by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, the tow handle of the Igloo 90 Quart Flip & Tow Rolling Cooler can pinch the user’s fingertips, cutting and crushing danger.
The manufacturer of coolers at Igloo Products Corp., based in Katie, Texas, has received 12 reports of fingertip injuries, including amputations, fractures and lacerations. The recall notification has been relayed.

The recalled coolers were sold for $80-$140 in stores and online, including Academy, Amazon, Dick, Costco and Igloo products from January 2019 to January 2025.
The recalled cooler has a tow handle with a “igloo” printed sideways and comes with multiple body and lid color combinations. Each has one of nearly 50 model numbers on the label attached to the bottom of the product. Check here for the list.
People with recalled coolers should stop using them and contact the company for a free replacement handle.
