The US is cooperating L3harris Technology Those familiar with issues that are not allowed to speak to the media said they will change the second-hand Qatari government jumbo jet to something that could become a new presidential plane.
The job comes after President Donald Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with delays in the revision work earlier this year. Boeing. Trump signed a deal with Boeing in his first semester, remodeling two 747s to serve as the next Air Force One aircraft. However, after the delay, the plane may not be ready before the end of his term.
L3harris and Boeing declined to comment. The White House did not immediately comment.
Trump told reporters in February that he was considering an alternative to the Boeing 747, which Boeing cost over $2 billion in overruns.
“I might buy a plane, or I might get a plane or something,” he said when he toured Qatar 747, which he parked at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida.
“We will continue to work with our customers to revise our program plans and enable our previous first delivery while focusing on safety and quality,” Boeing CEO Kelly Autoberg said in a revenue call on April 23.

Autoberg said in January that the company had partnered with Trump adviser Elon Musk to deliver the planes faster.
Despite Trump’s complaints about Boeing delivering one of the new Air Force planes, in March the US Air Force awarded Boeing a contract to build the country’s next-generation fighter jet.
“When it comes to all the attributes of the fighter, there was nothing close to it, from speed to maneuverability to aggressive, and this has been in the works for a long time,” Trump said in a March 21 news release.
