Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves made his professional auto racing debut Saturday at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Matrix star qualified 31st out of 35 cars and worked his way up to 21st until a one-car crash forced him to temporarily stop the race halfway through the 45-minute race.

With about 21 minutes left in the race, the 60-year-old spun into the grass on the exit of Turn 9 without colliding. He returned to the track, showed no injuries and continued driving.
Reaves finished 25th.
The actor is in Indianapolis competing in the Toyota GR Cup, Toyota’s spec racing series and support series for this weekend’s sports car event, the Indy 8 Hours. He has his second race scheduled for Sunday.

He drives the No. 92 BRZRKR promoting his graphic novel “The Book of Elsewhere.” He is teammates with “Dude Perfect” Cody Jones.
Reeves has racing experience having previously competed in the celebrity race Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Reeves won this event in 2009.
