TEL AVIV — Israel said Sunday that hundreds of rockets were fired in the north of the country by Iran-backed Hezbollah militants in neighboring Lebanon. In lieu of the previous agreement, tensions continued to rise across Lebanon on Monday, with the Ministry of Health reporting that Israeli Hezbollah attacks had left more than 3,750 people dead as of Sunday, about 15,630 more injured, and about 1.4 million people injured. All school and university classes in Beirut have been canceled until January, citing security concerns following devastating Israeli attacks over the past week.
