The Israeli military said it had killed another Hezbollah official in an airstrike on Sunday.
The IDF said the strike killed Nabil Kaouk, deputy chairman of Hezbollah’s Central Council, but did not provide details on where the strike took place. The claim came days after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an IDF attack.
Israel and Hezbollah appear to be on the brink of all-out war, continuing to fire barrages of missiles and rockets at each other.
Hezbollah launched its attack shortly after Hamas’ massacre of Israel on October 7, in which about 1,200 Israelis were killed or captured. Israel responded by launching its own airstrikes and concentrating troops on its northern border with Lebanon.

The government estimates about 250,000 people are in evacuation centers, and three to four times that number are staying with friends or relatives or camping on the streets, Environment Minister Nasser Yassin told The Associated Press. told.
Throughout the conflict, Israel has killed numerous Hezbollah and Hamas leaders in airstrikes.
On Friday, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told reporters that “the United States is not involved in Israeli operations,” noting that there was “no prior warning” from Israel about the Nasrallah attack.

Prime Minister Netanyahu cut short his visit to New York after a speech at the United Nations General Assembly in which he warned Hezbollah of Israel’s right to launch attacks.

“As long as Hezbollah chooses the path of war, Israel has no choice, and Israel has every right to eliminate this threat and return its people safely to their homeland, and that is exactly what we are doing. ” he said.
The IDF later released graphics suggesting that nearly all of Hezbollah’s top commanders had been killed.
