A child rapist illegally accused of the United States was recently arrested by Immigration Customs Boston, the agency announced Thursday.
Ice Boston said 19-year-old Stivenson Omar Perez-Ajtzalan was arrested on Jan. 30 for aggravated rape of a child in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The victim is said to be over 10 years younger than Perez, a Guatemalan national.
He was charged with felony charges on December 20, 2024 in Lawrence District Court.

Patricia Hyde, the field office director for Ice Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston, said Perez not only showed “blatant neglect” to American immigration law, but also sexually assaulted a child.
“He came to this country to cause harm, and now he must face the consequences of his actions. Ice Boston continues to be dedicated to our mission to protect public safety by arresting and eliminating illegal alien criminals from New England,” Hyde said.

Perez was allegedly released to the community by a court, according to Bill Melugin of Fox News. The court released him so quickly that ICE also was unable to file a detainee.
“Massachusetts remains the only state I’ve seen in my report, not just the aliens charged with child rape, but also the only state that has aggravated child rape without notifying the ice,” Melgin said.
Perez was given notice to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge after his arrest, and after his arrest he appeared before a Department of Justice immigration judge. He is under ice custody.
Massachusetts has been making headlines since President Donald Trump was elected for acting against the immigrant crackdown in his administration.
Gov. Maura Healy said in November that her state police were not “absolutely” cooperating with large-scale deportation efforts, and warned that they would use “all tools in the toolbox” to “protect” the state’s residents.

Healy changed her song in January. Her state noted that her state is not a sanctuary state despite a 2017 ruling by the state Supreme Court of Justice, which strictly restricts law enforcement cooperation with ice.
