How “Asteroid Detectives” Protect the Earth from Potential Effects

NASA was recently tracking a large asteroid known as the “City Killer” in 2032. In its analysis, NASA says it “sposes no longer a serious threat,” but that alone isn’t being monitored by space astronomers.
