A Houston prostitute sentenced to 75 years in prison for human trafficking is back in custody after failing to post bail during a trial 20 months ago.
A warrant was issued for Thaddeus Allen’s arrest in April 2023 after he failed to appear in court, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said at the time.
FOX 26 in Houston reported that Allen was taken into custody again after being admitted to a Houston hospital under a false name on New Year’s Eve. According to investigators, Allen is in critical condition from an overdose of PCP and methamphetamine.
But it wasn’t until Monday that the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Enforcement Team found Allen after receiving a tip.

“‘Ghost’ isn’t ‘Ghost’ anymore. It was his nickname and it didn’t mean much because he disappeared in the middle of the night because of his pension,” said Andy Kahan of Houston Crime Stoppers. told the station. “This guy was a really bad guy. So if you’re looking for a poster child for human trafficking, forced prostitution, taking young girls and turning them into traffickers, Thaddeus Allen would be number one.”
Houston Crime Stoppers did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for information about the arrest Sunday.
Allen’s week-long trial began on April 10, with him appearing in court during the first five days.

However, when court began on its sixth day, he did not appear to hear closing arguments in the case.
Despite not being in the court building, the jury deliberated and found Allen guilty of human trafficking after hearing about his extensive arrest record. In addition to human trafficking, Allen was facing charges of aggravated promotion of prostitution involving numerous women.
The jury sentenced him to 75 years in prison, with Mr. Allen required to serve half his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

Prosecutors said Allen was a “habitual felon” with multiple felony convictions, including fleeing police and robbery.
Allen was released on $200,000 bail when he was charged with human trafficking and other crimes.
“He was in and out of prison, and I guess all of a sudden he said, ‘Look, this isn’t looking too good for me,’ and he said, ‘I’m gone, I’m gone.’ ‘Get out of here,”’ Kayhan told FOX 26 last week. “Crime Stoppers, we have put up a reward of up to $15,000 for any information and I would like to find out if it was one of our pieces of information that led to his arrest. Today is a good day to finally have him in custody.” ”

Curhan added that the Sheriff’s Office is aware of Allen’s condition and that he remains in custody at the hospital. Detectives told the department that Mr. Allen would go straight to prison upon his release.
