“Grey’s Anatomy” star Eric Dane said Thursday that he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS, a rare degenerative condition that causes progressive muscle paralysis.
Dane was opened about his diagnosis in an exclusive statement to People Magazine.
“As I navigate this next chapter, I am grateful that my beloved family is by my side,” said Dane, who is married to actress Rebecca Gayhart. The couple has two teenage daughters.
“During this time, my family and I should give you privacy,” he added.
