Star of the hit CBS comedy Ghost, Rebecca Wizockey recently discussed the revelation of her character’s incredible legacy and the ongoing success of the show after it was renewed for two more seasons.
Wizocky, who plays the ghost of the Victorian Hetty Wood Stone Lady, appeared on CBS Morning and talked about a recent episode in which her character discovered Irish heritage.
“This kind of character is the best when she gets her custom when she’s proven wrong,” Wizocky said. “She’s doing Woodstone 180 about this. It was her fear to discover that she is Irish. And of course, she hugged and went into hibernation.”
With an incredible twist, Wizockey actually predicted the development of this story during his previous appearance in “CBS Morning.” When she showed a clip of her previous prediction that “Hetty should turn out to be an Irish woman,” Wizocky confirmed that she had no idea it was coming.
“I definitely didn’t,” she said.
When asked about her distinctive vocal performance, like hetty, Wizockey explained:
During the interview, Wizockey wore a meaningful shamrock brooch and described it as the first gift his father gave to his mother about 70 years ago.
“I think this is the first time I’ve worn it,” she said.
“Ghost” is a rare success story on television, with CBS and Paramount+ renewing it in two seasons recently. Wisocky said he appreciated the support from both the network and the fans.
“It’s funny, but we’re really proud of it because we can have interesting and sensitive conversations about the deeper themes of the show,” Wizockey said.
“Ghost” will air on CBS on Thursdays at 8:30pm EST.
