NFL fans are upset with the officiating during the Kansas City Chiefs’ 28-18 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Late in the fourth quarter, when the 49ers went on offense, there was a scrum between the Chiefs’ Brian Cook and the 49ers’ Trent Williams.
At the end of the play, Cook got up from the ground, and as Williams stood up, he punched the side of Williams’ helmet. Williams stood up and returned his own punch to the side of Cook’s helmet.

The referee threw a flag, but only Williams was flagged for an altercation. He was disqualified from the match, but Cook remained in the match without being penalized despite landing the first punch.
Even though Cook had no calls, the play was flagged against the Chiefs. Cornerback Chris Rowland-Wallace was flagged for a face mask, which ended up knocking out Williams’ flag.
Although those penalties were offset, Williams’ disqualification meant he missed the final three minutes of the 49ers’ loss.
The loss drops the 49ers to 3-4 as they are still trying to find their footing early in the season.

Patrick Mahomes currently has a 5-0 record against the 49ers, including two Super Bowl wins.
Despite the win, Mahomes was lackluster, throwing for just 154 yards and two interceptions. Mahomes ran for 39 yards and a rushing touchdown.
