The Wall Street Journal first reported the settlement Wednesday.
John Kelly, one of Trump’s lawyers in the lawsuit, confirmed with CNBC that the president and X have reached a settlement.
“It’s resolved,” Kelly told CNBC.
NBC News confirmed later Wednesday that the settlement included payments of approximately $10 million per X.
CNBC requested X’s attorney for comment.
At the time of the settlement, Trump had been waiting for more than a year for the outcome of a 2022 U.S. District Court judge’s appeal to dismiss the case. On Monday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit granted the motion. By all parties in the case to dismiss that appeal.
