Billionaire Elon Musk has outlined a list of “ultra-obvious” changes his government efficiency (DOGE) is planning to make this weekend at the US Treasury.
Musk says Treasury officials are not only making it easier to audit government books, but also increasing accountability for where the funds are heading. The change also requires Treasury employees to update Congress’ “Do not Pay” lists that highlight fraudsters and illegal aspects more frequently.
“No one in finance management cared enough. I’ve wanted to do this for many years, but I want to trust people at the work level in the Ministry of Finance who have been stopped by the prior management team. ” Musk said.
