The Kansas City Chiefs have failed to reach the historic milestone of becoming the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls.
However, history was still made in Super Bowl LIX.

Eagles wide receiver Devonta Smith led the team with 69 receiving yards and scored on Sunday on a 46-yard touchdown reception, giving Philadelphia a 34-0 lead. The Chiefs ultimately responded in the second half, but that wasn’t enough, and the Eagles crowned the Super Bowl champion.

As a result, the former Alabama standout became the fifth player in league history, winning the Heisman, National Title and Super Bowl.
He joined Tony Dorsett, Marcus Allen, Charles Woodson and Reggie Bush, according to Heissman’s website.
Smith, who was a member of Alabama’s undefeated team in 2020, won a touchdown catch in the Super Bowl and is also the sixth Heissman winner to play in at least two championship games.

Later in the fourth quarter of the big game, Smith discovers that former Alabama teammate Jalen is hurt, and the two share an emotional exchange.
“Thank you to your man,” Smith said, holding her. “Hey, this isn’t our last.”
“It was a Rideman,” replied Hurts. “You deserve it.”

Smith and Hearts have been a Philadelphia teammate and teammate for four seasons, playing together for Alabama during the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
