Bryant also has a long history of admiring Farrakhan. Farrakhan has supported anti-Semitic rhetoric decades ago, calling the Jews “womb” and comparing them to termites, saying he was “antienced.” Bryant interviewed the Islamic national leader in 2015, saying he was “one of our people’s greatest leaders.”
“We welcome the word network and the whole world, Honorary Minister Louis Farrakhan! We are honored to welcome you,” Bryant said as he introduced him. “I am very grateful to have been marking history and living in the same crack of time as one of our people’s greatest leaders.”
In a 2019 tweet, Bryant said he was “humble” in the presence of Farrakhan. His Twitter page contains many other tweets related to Farrakhan.

Bryant is also openly critical of the gay community, telling the congregation at Baltimore Empowerment Temple in 2012 that “homosexuality is not a single sin, it’s a sin,” but that he is gay. adds that it is their “responsibility.” And the other sinners are “unpleasant with (their) sins.”
Despite his past comments, Bryant has been embraced by liberal organizations, many of whom have come together to support the boycott of the target, and Bryant has been working on Vice President Kamala Harris and his “leadership” last year. “I appeared on the campaign trail when I thanked him.
