The Nebraska Corn Huskers will not regret their trip to Las Vegas.
Despite a long stay in Southern Nevada after not having played the NCAA tournament, the Cornhuskers made it all worth it by bringing home the first-ever college basketball crown.
Nebraska defeated the UCF Knights (77-66) to claim a $300,000 prize.

The game was tied in half with 1 piece 35, and the entire second half was UCF. However, it appears Nebraska took notes from his comeback with Houston’s Duke in the Final Four.
The Knights came out on a 14-0 run to open the second half, but the Cornhuskers responded with a 24-3 run to lead by 6 at 7:27.
UCF cut it to four after just a minute, but it’s as close as UCF got as Nebraska continued its acquisition and began to separate itself.

At the final 14:36, Nebraska outperformed UCF, 42-17.
Tournament MVP Juwan Gary dropped 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Bryce Williams and Connor Essian each scored 21 points, the latter leaving it off the bench.
Jordan Ivy-Curry’s 29 points were not enough to lose UCF’s efforts.
