Brazilian prosecutors filed accusations against former president Jia Bolsonaro on Tuesday of attempting a coup to serve as a coup after the 2022 election loss.
Prosecutor Paulo Gonette claims that Bolsonaro and 33 others have joined in a plan to remain in power despite losing to current President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva.

The Supreme Court will analyze the charges and if accepted, Bolsonaro will be brought to trial.

The far-right leader denies fraud. “I have no concern about the charges, zero,” Bolsonaro told journalists on Tuesday when he visited the Brasilia Senate.
“Have you happened to see a coup order? You haven’t. I don’t have one either,” he added.
Bolsonaro’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
