As reported by Jam Press and confirmed by Longeviquest, the world’s oldest database of people’s lives and times, the Guinness World Record for the Long Marriage of Living Couples I defeated it.
While collecting sweets in Brazil in 1936, Manoel Angelme Dino (105) met 101-year-old Maria de Susa Dino. They remained acquaintances until they met again in 1940.
When the couple reunites, Manoel says he fell in love at first sight and fell in love. He declared his feelings to Maria. Maria felt the same way. The couple is currently happily married for 84 and 85 days.

According to Jam Press, Maria’s mother was initially unsure of the couple’s union.
Manoel quickly gained her favor after building a house for herself, Maria, and their future family.

By this time, World War II had erupted in Europe.
Back in Brazil, the couple raised cigarettes to support their 13 children.

Today, the family has expanded to include 55 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The long-married couple spends their time at home enjoying the life they have built.

Due to his age, Manoel spends most of his time resting.
However, he wakes up every night and sits in the living room with his wife, where he hears the rosary prayers on the radio and the mass on the TV.

When asked about the secret of their long marriage, Maria simply said, “Love. And it could never be calculated even on the most advanced computers.”

Previous records were held by Herbert Fisher, an American couple born in 1905, and Zermira Fisher, born in 1907.

According to Guinness, they were together for 290 days in 1986 until Herbert’s death on February 27, 2011.
The longest marriage ever belongs to David Jacob Hiller, born in 1789 and Sarah Davey Hiller, born in 1792.

After tying the knot in Canada in 1809, their union lasted 349 days in 188 years until Sarah’s death in 1898, Guinness said.
