Bomb-making materials found in a New Orleans Airbnb as authorities investigate a possible connection to the truck crash that killed at least 15 people and injured more than 30 on Bourbon Street during New Year’s celebrations It is reported that it was done.
A small fire broke out at a property believed to be an Airbnb in the 1300 block of Mandeville Street in New Orleans’ St. Roch neighborhood around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The New Orleans Fire Department evacuated dozens of people from nearby homes and contacted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, FOX 8 reported.
Bomb-making materials were found on the premises, officials confirmed to officials.

“They said they found bomb-making materials in the yellow house and wanted the bomb squad to look at it,” neighbor Bob Koenig told FOX 8.
Sources told the New Orleans Advocate that investigators suspect the Airbnb was rented by the now-deceased attacker.
Fox News Digital reached out to the listed owner of the Airbnb rental, but did not immediately hear back.

The FBI is investigating an “act of terrorism” after Shamsuddin Jabbar, a 42-year-old U.S. citizen from Texas, drove his Ford pickup truck into a New Year’s crowd on Bourbon Street around 3 p.m. announced that it was doing so. 3:00 a.m. local time. Jabbar got out of his car and fired at police, but the officers returned fire and the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, the department said.
The latest incident in which terrorists attack New Year’s celebrants on Bourbon Street, using a truck to kill them.

ISIS flags, weapons and possible improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found inside the car, and other IEDs were also found in the French Quarter, the FBI confirmed.
Jabbar enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Houston on Aug. 12, 2004, and was discharged from the delayed enlistment program a month later on Sept. 13, 2004, so he did not continue to serve, a Navy spokesperson said. he told FOX News.
The FBI is reportedly looking to track down Jabbar’s associates who may have been involved in the attack.
