Given the recent plane accidents, crashes and air travel costs, some people may be worried about going into the air.
If a nervous flyer is looking for another form of travel, there is transport that does not require takeoff.
Kai Boysan, a CEO resident of Dallas and Flix North America, told Fox News Digital, the parent company of Flixbus and Greyhound, that the company has seen an increase in riders.
A man with a lifelong fear of flying reveals why Americans shouldn’t worry as experts become heavier
“City bus riderships are steadily rising as longer distance travelers rethink their options and buses are perceived as natural alternatives to flying or driving,” Boyen said.

“The fear of flying is nothing new. Many travelers always prefer to keep evidence for a variety of reasons, whether it’s personal comfort or more control over the journey.”
A Flixbus spokesman told Fox News Digital: “The ridership across the Greyhound and Flixbus network grew by double digits in 2024 compared to the previous year.” This is “continuing an upward trend compared to 2023.”
The spokesman added that more data will be available in April, and the ridership momentum was carried into 2025.
In addition to the fear of flight, travelers may choose to take the bus “due to airfares, unpredictability, or convenience of direct city-to-city access.” There are no baggage or security lines.

Brian Morris of Salt Lake City, suffering from aerophobia, created “Flight Deck: Fear of Flash Cards” to help unsettling flyers calm their takeoff procedures and travel experiences.
“In light of recent flight incidents and accidents, we know first hand how these events evoke the fear and uncertainty of many individuals,” Morris told Fox News Digital.
Morris said it is important to know that flight-related anxiety produces effective emotions.

Cleveland Clinic also has aerophobia that could be caused by news stories about plane crashes, takeoffs and landings, and turbulence.
You will get search results for the Google trend “Is Flay safe?” It skyrocketed in February alone.
Morris said it reminds him of the incredible safety records of commercial aviation. Statistically speaking, flight remains one of the safest modes of transport” – a belief that helps him maintain a “sensation of calm and rationality,” he said.

“Traveling via bus is very different from the past, evolving into a modern, technology-driven experience, offering free Wi-Fi, power outlets and spacious seating that makes long trips more comfortable and convenient,” says Boysan.
“When comparing bus fares with rising airfares, it’s clear why more travelers see Intercity Bus as a practical option, especially for last-minute bookings.”

“People want to have more control over the travel experience, and intercity buses are stepping in to meet this demand,” Boyen added.
