The Big Money Show panel describes a new report that found Doge contributed to a 672% increase in government employment cuts since the first quarter last year.
Fox Business has expressed interest in the latest deal offer from the Trump administration, with approximately 20,000 Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
An agency source told FOX Business that around 20,000 workers were considering an acquisition offer recently extended by the Trump administration, resembling the offer that was widely expanded across federal agencies earlier this year.
Reuters reported that the postponed offer of resignation will allow most of those who accept it to be on leave with payment until September 30th.
The IRS had around 100,000 employees at the start of President Donald Trump’s second term. Since then, the administration has fired around 7,000 probation employees, but another 5,000 have left the agency over the past three months.

Under former President Joe Biden, the administration has boosted the IRS workforce with around 20,000 workers, increasing the amount of tax revenue collected by the institution.
The Fiscal Watchdog Group warns that losing so many workers will hinder our ability to efficiently process IRS tax returns and collect income.

The federal budget deficit is expected to continue to rise due to increased spending on Social Security, Medicare and over $36 trillion citizen debt.
The continued shrinking of the IRS workforce and other federal agencies is part of the efforts of the Trump administration and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) that have reduced the scale of federal bureaucracy, claiming it is bloated and efficient. Doge is also trying to eradicate waste and fraud in various federal agencies.

Approximately 200,000 workers have left 2.3 million private federal workers through a combination of acquisitions, layoffs and resignations.
