Passengers on an American Airlines flight from Dallas, Texas to Minneapolis, Minnesota were in for an unexpected surprise when a leaking toilet reached the cabin aisle.
One passenger, Hilary Stewart Blazevich, told Storyful that the woman had been using the restroom before the leak and had not reported any problems to the crew.
Flight attendants rushed to the scene and tried to stop the leak, according to a video recorded by Blazevich.

“I was in complete disbelief and a little panicked when I found out I couldn’t turn off the water,” Blazevich told Storyful.
In the video, passengers can be seen lifting their bags to avoid what Blazevich called the “nasty” liquid, with some attempting to step over the water.

Social media users reacted to the clip and posted comments online.


A passenger who recorded the flooding inside the plane said, “When I learned that I couldn’t stop the water, I couldn’t believe it at all and panicked a bit.” (St. Petersburg)
“I wonder how much water is on the plane (lol),” said a woman on the X show.
The man added, “Did someone plug the toilet? (lol)?”
“Water is better than fuel,” another person commented.

Dustin Parker, a passenger on the plane, told KTUU-TV that the water level reached 2 to 4 inches.
Video shot by Parker shows flight attendants throwing paper towels on the floor to try to soak up the floodwaters.
