A retailer in Scottsboro, Alabama, is giving lost luggage a new lease of life by reselling items left behind by travelers.
Unclaimed Baggage is a 50,000 square foot retail space that is visited by more than 1 million people each year. We have welcomed visitors from over 40 countries. (See the video at the top of this article.)

Unclaimed Baggage is the only national retailer for lost luggage. Hood said it has “exclusive partnerships” with major airlines.
“A bag must be lost for a minimum of 90 days before it is officially considered unclaimed… However, if it is still unclaimed after that 90 day period, a claim will be processed.Travel The carrier will be compensated for the lost items and their bags will then be considered compensated.” That’s why we take on unclaimed baggage as the airline’s collection partner. ”

“The most shocking thing was a live rattlesnake,” Hood said.
“He was in the outside pocket of the duffel bag, which he probably got into while storing the suitcase or duffel bag, or perhaps on transit.”

Baggage drop-off hours are Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM, and closed on Sundays.

Use durable tags for proper identification. Identification should be included on the inside as well as the outside of the package.

Please remove all previous barcode stickers to avoid confusion for baggage handlers. Make sure your suitcase is visible so other travelers don’t accidentally remove it from the baggage carousel.
