A former NASA rocket scientist and founder of two-time high-tech companies, Aishabo, is set to make history to move into space when she joins all women as the first person in the Bahamian heritage. The origin of blue The crew was released on April 14th.
Bowe appeared in “CBS Mornings” Historical mission Along with co-host Gale King, who will be part of the crew.
“I’ve been preparing for this moment for the rest of my life,” Bowe told King during an interview. “I mean, I started my career thinking I was allergic to mathematics… and here I am sitting here.
In addition to Bow and King, the groundbreaking mission features a group of women, including musician Katy Perry. Civil rights activist Amanda Nuguenphilanthropist Lauren Sanchez and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
“This crew represents the best of humanity’s future,” Bowe said. “It’s really space for the profits of the planet.”
Bow also shared how she can overcome her early disappointment, including being told she should pursue beauty instead of aerospace engineering.
“I was told I couldn’t, I can’t, I shouldn’t, and I couldn’t, and I couldn’t, and I did,” Bow said. “I studied aerospace at the University of Michigan from Community College and worked at NASA for six years.”
The crew recently appeared on the cover of Elle Magazine’s special digital edition in April, where they first met in person.
When asked what she is most excited about her upcoming journey, Bow highlighted its impact on future generations.
“I saw you guys reach for the sky, so I did it and I knew I could do that too,” Bowe said.
Bow’s preparation includes a G-force experience to simulate the physical requirements of spaceflight. She joked that her biggest concern about the actual flight was to put on makeup through tears of excitement.
