Actor Brett Goldstein stars as Roy Kent on the Emmy Award-winning showted lasso‘, he is taking on a new role that he had not originally intended to play.
The Apple TV+ show “Shrinking” stars Jason Segel as Jimmy, a therapist grieving the death of his wife, who was killed by a drunk driver. In season 2, Goldstein, who is also a co-creator, will appear as the driver.
“Playing the drunk driver who was the culprit in this case, I did a lot of research…We read a lot of testimonies from people on both sides of this case and listened to a lot of people’s stories,” Gold said. Stein said.
Goldstein said research helped him take on his role.
“Because it’s the same process of empathizing with a character. And when I was playing it, I was thinking about PTSD. I know what it’s like when you’re in a car accident. “It kind of loops in your head. You kind of loop it before the scene,” he said.
Goldstein says the worst thing about joining the series is having to shave.
“I cried. I’ve had a beard all my life. I was born with a beard,” he said. “It also turns out, sadly, that my personality is disliked by women.”
Beyond his new role, Goldstein spoke about the possibility of future seasons of the beloved show. ”ted lasso” but didn’t give much away.
