It is said that a thrift store in Casper, Wyoming, does not judge a book based on its cover and staff.
While ringing the donation, staff from a treasure thrift store rescued on the Wyoming Rescue Mission came across a 315-page book tied to red leather.
When I opened the book, I realized that the staff were police dockets dating back to 1904.

Police dockets documented various crimes in Casper and looked at various fines after court costs.

Some of the crimes committed a century ago mentioned attackers who protect prostitutes – punished with a $100 fine – today, crimes punished in prison for up to a year, or up to 1,000 new ones Dollar fines, for example York.

Others include disrupting peace and carrying deadly weapons.
Wyoming Rescue Mission Community Engagement Coordinator Adam Flack told Fox News Digital that the docket has been returned to the city of Casper and the Casper Police Department.

“The docket has a rich history and offers a fascinating glimpse into the early crime and daily events that the dedicated police officers of the time faced,” Flack said.

Flack added: “Many things have changed, but many of the challenges remain the same, but “riding while drunk” would no longer refer to the horse’s boredom.”
The Wyoming Rescue Mission shared its findings in a Facebook post along with photos from the Casper Police Station.
In the post, Casper Police Chief Keith McFeaters shared the importance of the discovery.

Executive Director Brad Hopkins spoke with Fox News Digital about the discovery.
